What is the UNIC mini crane?

It is a compact crane suitable for lifting and handling loads in areas with difficult access. Its size / capacity ratio makes it a very versatile equipment for activities in construction, public works, assembly of structures, among others. With the right accessory this crane is ideal for glazzing. UNIC's URW-295 model is narrow enough to allow access through standard doors and still has 3.00 tons of capacity.

We interviewed the owner of José Lopes Construções, Mr. José Lopes, a company based in Lagos, Algarve (Portugal), which recently acquired an UNIC URW295-CER crawler mini crane in the first semester.

(ALMOVI) What made you take the decision to buy an UNIC mini crane?

(JL) In many of the works that my company does the access to the workplace is very difficult which led me to choose a mini crane. On the other hand, I needed a machine that would allow me to work up to 9 meters in height, so I chosed the model that gave me that possibility.

(ALMOVI) What kind of work do you intend to do with the crane?

(JL) This crane can be useful for various tasks, but in the case of my company its main use is to transport construction material (concrete, bricks, beams, ...) to the roofs and slabs of our buildings.

(ALMOVI) Are you satisfied with the machine you bought?

(JL) Yes, I am satisfied with the machine as it has all the necessary features for the type of work I need it to do which would not be possible with another type of crane. This equipment allows me to perform tasks that in the past would not have been possible.
